Help for depression and feeling depressed.
Feeling depressed and low.
Depression can strike anybody from any walk of life and can be caused by a range of different factors. Hypnotherapy, hypnosis and hypno-analysis are extremely effective in helping people suffering with depressive illness. People who experience major depression can feel persistently sad. They do not take any pleasure in activities that were once enjoyable; they just cannot seem to snap out of it.
The symptoms vary greatly from one individual to another but some common symptoms are:
- Loss of appetite
- Feeling tired all the time
- Inability to concentrate
- Memory problems
- Feeling worthless, helpless, guilty or having low self-esteem
- Feeling restless, just can’t seem to settle your thoughts
- Consistent feelings of sadness, loneliness or tension
- Feelings of desperation
- Lack of interest in any form of activity
- Fatigue or loss of energy
If long-term depression is not treated it can develop into a severe state known as melancholy.
Who suffers from feeling depressed?
Depression is a debilitating illness which can not only affect the person suffering with depression but those around them, family, friends, work colleagues etc. More women tend to suffer with depression than men and are often more willing to admit their depression and therefore seek help. Often men do not recognise the symptoms of depression in themselves. It is a quite common illness with about 15% of people experiencing a bout of serve depression at some time in their lives. Depression can affect people of any age, including children. Studies have shown that 2% of teenagers in the UK are affected by depression.
How can hypnotherapy help?
Hypno-analysis (Analytical Hypnotherapy) is a very effective therapy in treating these unwanted feelings. Once the bottled up emotions that cause the depression are released then the symptoms can change, allowing you to be free from your past problems and feelings.
Another successful way to deal people’s problems is to use the changing limiting beliefs (CLB).
This is more of a training course of understanding yourself better so that you can change those old unwanted thoughts, habits and negative feelings, into becoming much more positive, focused in control and empowered. Link to Changing limiting beliefs course
